“I'm originally from the south Jersey/Philadelphia area. I was a career photographer for 20 years and went into flooring sales. I did that for about 10 years in Cherry Hill, NJ. When I decided to move to Florida, I did some research on the different tile companies in South Florida. I was looking for one that had long-time employees and could use my background in the design industry. I found that here at D&B Tile Distributors.
“They have many long-time employees, with nine locations, with great showrooms, great employee benefits, and display a wide selection of tiles from all over the world. D&B has well-trained staff to assist with the customer selections and a great reputation within the design community. I've been here for almost a year and like it very much.
“I especially like working with the architects, designers and interior decorators. With my background in design, I feel comfortable in being able to make selections from a wide range of products and recommend specific products for their needs.
“We are selling a lot of large format tiles right now. South Florida is very different from the northeast in that it is more contemporary and offers many large-scale projects. Most of the tile installations in that area were concentrated in kitchens and baths.
