Rob Buster Manager, Port St. Lucie Location
“I began my career with D&B in 2003 at the Orlando store. I was there until we shut that operation down in 2010. My career in Orlando started in the warehouse and I worked my way up to the back counter handling purchase orders. I have only been back in this area for a few months. Everything is going great up here. We have an outstanding team. The economy is definitely picking up and we're seeing a substantial increase in traffic here. There's just so much potential for growth in this area.
“Every day I speak with contractors, installers and designers and everyone is seeing a turnaround in the construction business. We're very optimistic. Obviously this is a growing market here in Port St. Lucie and we expect to capitalize on that. Large format tiles are selling well and we're seeing a lot of activity with detailed wall designs for bathrooms. We're also seeing definite increases in mosaic, glass and stone as well.
“My roots are in this area. I was raised out in Okeechobee. All of my family is still there. At the moment I am single but will be getting married this coming July.
“After being away from D&B for a few years and returning, I can see a definite increase in product knowledge, continuing education and training of our employees, contractors and designers. Our goal is to make this location even stronger and have it recognized as a one-stop place to shop for all your redecorating or new construction needs. I'm very optimistic about the future and especially in the growth of this company. There's just so much potential in this particular area and we are poised to take advantage of it.”
