Lisa Brink, owner of Design Smart Interior Design, had just recently completed a remodel of the Lallier home in Saturnia, Delray Beach. Changes were made to the fireplace, ceiling, cabinetry and wall art throughout the home, but no changes were made to the flooring. Following a New Year’s Eve party at their home, the family decided to replace the dated tile floor. According to Lisa “I was surprised at the decision because the floor is always the first step in any remodeling process and I knew it would be a challenge to cut around the new island in the kitchen, the fireplace and other areas throughout the home.”
Since most of the tile in the house was purchased from D&B Tile, the decision was made to return there to look for a suitable new tile to replace the dated tile in the family room, kitchen and dining room. “Lisa had remodeled another house for us in Boca Raton and we trust her judgment. She has a background in art and likes to think outside the box, said Mrs. Lallier.
In keeping with the style of the remodeling project, Lisa decided to use a large format tile and presented the family with samples of a 30”x60”
Mark Chrome Matt from Atlas Concorde. “This is a rectified porcelain tile from an Italian manufacturer and I was confident in the quality and appearance of the tile. The selection was made and we installed the new tile directly over the existing flooring. The results were spectacular. Installation was performed by East Coast Marble and Stone and everything went as planned. According to Mrs. Lallier, “We couldn’t be more pleased with the service and selection at D&B Tile. We knew when the order was placed, when it was shipped from Italy, when it arrived in the states and when it was on the way to our home. We have D&B tile throughout the home, in the bathrooms and the pool area outdoors, in addition to the new tile placed in the family room, kitchen and dining area.
