The East Hialeah Leon Medical Center is a state of the art facility featuring the most modern medical equipment. This 4-story building is located on five acres in East Hialeah on the corner of 4th Avenue and 25th Street. The four floors of the building span a total of 65,000 square feet. The East Hialeah center facility offers services such as primary care, specialist care, on-site pharmacy, dental, optical, a healthy living center and many other services all under one roof.
It is the first of its kind with fully integrated technologies across the board, making it a true “smart” medical building. Design services for the project were provided by MGE Architects, Coral Gables. Their firm offers master planning, programming, space planning, contract administration, facilities management and interior design.
MGE’s Berna Espinosa specified the tile for the project and selected 12x24 Corsican Creme Polished and 12x24 Corsican Creme Unpolished from American manufacturer Crossville. This was installed in all restrooms. This line of porcelain tile is part of Crossville’s Empire Series and provides the necessary coefficient of friction for restrooms as well as a pleasing range of colors. D&B Tile Commercial Representative on the project was Rosanna Ruiz from the Doral store. Tile contractor on the project was Rodolfo Espinosa of RETC, Inc. in Miami.
