When you walk into any of the nine D&B Tile showrooms in South Florida, you will be greeted by someone who has attended the "Tile 101" course for all new employees. Regardless of whether you are an architect, designer, contractor, specifier or a homeowner, you can rest assured that the person serving you will be able to answer all of your questions. Or, they will know where to look for the answers.
This free course is "boot camp" for all D&B employees, including drivers, counter personnel, warehouse workers as well as all sales personnel. We want to make certain that your experience at D&B Tile meets our high expectations and especially yours. We welcome new staff members of our customers and employees of our vendors who may need a little updating on new products or procedures. This ensures that we are all on the "same page" when you visit our showrooms.

The marble, tile and stone industry has undergone massive changes in the past ten years. Large format tiles are becoming the rage as are tiles that closely resemble wood, stone, slate or marble. With those new products come new setting materials and procedures, dimensions, specifications, glazes, grouts, sealers and tools. Do you understand the definition of porcelain and ceramic tile? What about lippage, coefficient of friction, large format, tiles, glass and metal tiles and the specific setting materials and grout they may require? Despite what you may hear from the big box stores, all tile is not the same.
The "Tile 101” course is only one segment of D&B Tile's ongoing commitment to continuing education. We also offer free courses for our contractor customers to keep them current on the latest new products and procedures. Because Informed Customer Service is Priority One at D&B Tile, you won't be dealing with part-time workers selling discontinued tile. The majority of our employees have worked their entire career in the tile industry. And, most are bilingual.
