At D&B Tile, we’re always excited for Coverings. The trade show is a great opportunity for us to remember that, although our tile stores are in Miami and the surrounding area, we’re part of a much broader industry.
Along with talking about the products at our store, we also get a chance to see the latest innovations in the field, learning from people who are as passionate about stone and tile as we are. That’s why we’ve visited every show since its conception.
Before we begin, we'd like to take a second to congratulate Chelton Ross, Territory Rep at D&B Tiles. He was chosen to be one of this year’s Coverings Rock Stars. This program recognizes the rising stars in the industry, as well as providing them with networking/mentorship opportunities. Great work, Chelton!
Coverings 2022’s Three Major Themes
Coverings had three major themes for 2022, which were highlighted in The Coverings Lounge and reflected in the show’s educational panels:
- Wellness and Environment
- Outdoor Living
- Timeless Luxury
We’re happy to say that ceramic is well-suited to satisfying the needs of homeowners on all three counts. The material’s durability is particularly important here, allowing for timeless luxury while also helping it stand up against the elements.
Additionally, the fact that it lasts longer than other materials means that it’s less wasteful. If you want to make sure you’re working with eco-friendly tile, we recommend checking the tile’s Environmental Product Declaration. 85% of ceramic tile in North America is currently covered by an EPD.

Coverings is designed to help people in the stone and tile industry learn while building relationships. That said, the tile industry is broad, which means the conference takes care to cater to all of the following:
