When Nobel Bellosillo and Jim Raymond decided to renovate their home in Lauderdale by the Sea, little did they know that an appreciation of opera and the theatre could be incorporated into their tile selection.
According to Jim Raymond, "I found D&B Tile Distributors while browsing the internet for South Florida Tile Store and, when I walked into their Pompano location, I was greeted by Andy Bolton. I told him we had been working with another company but just weren't pleased with the service and selection. After we discussed the theme we were looking for, he showed me the Refin Teatro Tile line. I knew immediately that would work.
"I took a photograph of the tile and showed it to Nobel and, when he saw it in front of him, we were sold.
"I'm an opera and theatre fan and the history and unique appearance of this tile was just perfect for what we were trying to accomplish. The entire collection was inspired by the interiors of the Municipal Theater in Modena, Italy," said Nobel.

The fact that Pavarotti may have stood on one of the tiles replicated in their kitchen was not lost on them. Their focus in the remodeling project was on history. Even the brick tiles used as a backsplash in the kitchen were brought in from a building in Chicago.
According to Nobel, "Our home is one of 99 in this development. They all look alike with the exception of ours.
