Francie Cowen previously worked for Suzi Addessa in her interior design business and when she needed design help, she knew where to turn after a fire in her Jupiter home caused damage to the hardwood flooring.
“We had candles burning on a large dining room table. The babysitter was watching our children. When we returned home, they were all in the front yard and the fire department was on the way. We eventually put out the fire on our own and no one was injured. However, it spurned a remodeling effort that led to all new flooring throughout our home,” said Francie.
The tile used throughout the Cowen home is 8x40 Redeem Series from Atlas Concorde. The color is Ash. This beautiful tile can be seen and ordered at any of the nine D&B Tile locations.
“The dining room table was large and heavy. When the firemen were removing it from the home, it slipped out of their hands and caused damage to our hardwood floors. That’s when we brought Suzi in. We didn’t want hardwoods anymore. Suzi recommended porcelain tile that looked like wood.”
“I brought in samples from the D&B Tile West Palm Beach location and it turned out to be a perfect match for what they needed. I have worked with Atlas Concorde tiles before and was satisfied with their uniform features and variety of colors and textures. Tile contractor on the job was Daniel’s Specialtys, LLC. All tile products came from D&B Tile Distributors.
“Everything was repainted, including the baseboards. Danny’s’ Specialty Tile did all the work. He removed the flooring. I brought in samples since I knew what the color scheme would be. Francie went with our recommendations. She liked the variations in the tile. They wanted longer planks and Atlas has been known to be an even product with bigger planks. They are consistent with a good rectified product,” said Suzi.
“I recommended the tile contractor. Danny’s Specialty Tile is meticulous and did a great job. The floors weren’t level and the walls aren’t plumb. I trust them explicitly. I prefer the D&B Tile West Palm Beach location and tell them what I need. It’s very easy to handle it that way. I’ve been working with them for more than 10 years. They are always available to me and it is easy to get samples. I’ve worked on other jobs where the quantity wasn’t enough to complete the job. When that happens, we have to find the tile quickly and get it in. D&B Tile takes care of all of that and stays within price point.
“The customer has this home on the market and will be moving to another in Jupiter. I’m happy to say that we will be working with them on their new home and we have already selected more D&B Tile for that project,” said Suzi.
