"Why not?" That’s what Jennifer Paradela said when she decided to upgrade the kitchen in her 4000 sq/ft home in Coral Springs. "I love cooking and my kitchen just didn’t work for me any longer. I gave a lot of thought as to what we needed and interviewed a number of

of what I wanted before I went to Stonewater. They were able to put what I had in my mind’s eye into a rendering and we went from there. I knew for certain that I wanted two distinct colors in the project. I wasn’t sure it would be white, but I wanted a strong contrast of colors. I knew I wanted a large island and showcase wall and that’s where we started.
"I worked with Laureen Schwenke, the designer at Stonewater. She helped me select finishes, colors and develop the overall plan for the remodeling job. While we were visiting with Stonewater at the D&B Tile Pompano location, we looked through their impressive display of tiles, colors and textures. Generally speaking, it was a problem free experience. We had very few issues to deal with and Stonewater took complete control of the project from start to finish. We were very satisfied with the entire process.

Patrick and Laureen Schwenke are Associate Partners at D&B Tile and moved their business into the Pompano Beach store location five years ago. Laureen has a degree in Interior Design from the Colorado Institute of Art and Patrick handles the construction side of the business. According to Laureen, "We specialize in
high-end residential and start each project by looking for a better way for the kitchen to function. Our goal is not to put everything back the way it was but to improve the workflow as well as the aesthetics of the entire kitchen. Our signature supplier is Wood Mode out of Creamer, PA. We also carry a basic line from
Fabuwood for smaller jobs. When we approached the Paradela job, we completely reorganized the kitchen and made suggestions for cabinets, tile, backsplash and even appliances. We offer turnkey services for all of our projects."
"We sit down with each customer and get a list of what they want. Then we try to analyze the flow of the space. We put together a computerized design and present it to the customer. We coordinate the entire job from start to finish, including tear-out, carpentry, electrical, plumbing and of course tile," said Patrick.
