Rectified Porcelain Tile from D&B Gives A Polished Marble Look in Coral Springs Flooring Remodel

When this Coral Springs family decided to replace the existing tile in their home, the first place they visited was the Pompano Beach location of D&B Tile Distributors. “We purchased tile from them a few years ago when we renovated our bathrooms. We had a good experience. The tile was well priced. The selection was extensive and everything went as planned. “The existing flooring was 29 years old. It was in need of repair, had large grout lines and staining. We knew we were in for an extensive project with removing the old tile, dust and a disruption to our normal schedule but, based on our previous experience with D&B, we went there first. We initially selected a whiter tile, but after bringing home the sample, we decided it wouldn’t work. When we returned, we found another tile with more character. It is a rectified porcelain tile and, in my opinion, has a marble look to it, without the maintenance and expense of marble.
“We were helped by Richard Favreau at the store. He was quite knowledgeable about the product and helped us make the right selection. We were given a list of tile contractors who were certified by D&B and we chose Alba Floors. We were very impressed with the contractor. He did an amazing job. “He gave us an estimate and, within a week, removed the existing tile. Ten days later, it was finished. We couldn’t be more pleased with the tile, service and the installation. We were not brand conscious when we arrived at the D&B store but we were able to find what we wanted at a reasonable price.”
Although the term “rectified” can be confusing, it simply refers to a tile with edges that have been ground or sawed after firing so that the overall size of the tile is more exact. This ensures a more professional installation. Rectification occurs after the tiles are fired. D&B Tile Distributors is a 50-year-old family-owned company.
